OCTOBER 2006
MELBOURNE SHOW WITH SILVER RAY ON SALE NOW

All the dates for the first Horse Stories Australian Tour are now posted on the SHOWS page.
We're pleased to have Cam Butler along for the ride in Sydney & Adelaide, plus his wonderful band Silver Ray as special guests at the East Brunswick Club in Melbourne on Thursday Nov 30th. Silver Ray are a band we've loved since Toby picked up a copy of their debut on a quick visit back to Melbourne years ago. With the likes of Nick Cave on their touring resume, Toby and Clint are honoured to have them on board. Should be some great shows.
YOU EXPLAINED AWAY EVERYTHING VIDEO

Another video has surfaced from the lively little Horse Stories production house, this time it's an animated gem to the tune of You Explained Away Everything. This one was made by a chap named Ivor Jones.
Check it out here.
The dates for Horse Stories' first Australia tour this November have been announced, take a look on the SHOWS page.

FIREWALL VIDEO
Horse Stories just completed a video for the song Firewall,
off the new record, Everyone's a Photographer.
It was made on the fly in a secret location, using
mobile phone cameras - for that spooky, messed-up look.
At the moment it's only available here - so click here
or the pic and enjoy.
UPDATE: Well the clip was just on our site, but the whole
"mobile phone video" idea seems to have won a few
hearts in cyberspace and it's now popping up on popular US
webzines, like Acid Bird and Little Radio.
Thanks for all the positive feedback and we hope it
keeps on spreading.
ST KILDA FILM FESTIVAL TRAILER

For over 20 years this festival has championed short films with a
top line-up of Australian and international work. They're also
renowned for their great trailers and this year's features an old
home recording of Toby's called The Sea Shore, that the producers
polished-up and used as their theme.
Keep an eye out for the trailer (starring Suitcase Man) on TV and
in the cinema in the next few weeks. Watch the online version here.
You can listen to The Sea Shore on the DISCS page, in the new
"Unreleased" section of the website.
MONKEY BEAR ROBOT

Al MacInnes and Toby Burke's installation "Monkey Bear Robot"
is open to the public at Melbourne's ACMI gallery until June 4th.
So if you're in the area, make sure you go check it out.
Al & Toby collaborated on the concept, which uses Al's animations
and original music by Toby to illustrate the plight of the worker.
It's not as confusing as it sounds - it's actually a lot of fun.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF STORIES
Toby recently had his fiction published for the first time,
by the And Collective, in a book called Personal Empires.
It's available in bookstores all around Australia and contains art
and writing from young Melbourne artisits. Toby contributed
seven short, short stories, each in line with the book's various topics.
You can read a few of the stories on Toby's site - here.
A complete list of retailers is available on the
And Collective's site - here.
